To: Envelope From: Letter

Dear Envelope,

Thank you for holding me so close. We have traveled far and wide together and you have always protected me. Though we are so similar, both cut from the same paper, you have always managed to surprise me with your depth.

You are not always an open book, you leave a lot to the imagination my darling envelope, but that is why I love you. You keep my secrets safe in your slender frame and you protect all my delicate edges. When I am folded up in your safe center I feel at home.

You give me new purpose, I am no longer just paper but I am precious. The act of open and unfolding makes everything more meaningful, doesn’t it my dear?

So thank you dear envelope for keeping me in your geometry and bringing more occasion to the mail.

Love,
Letters
