Day One

After expertly packing the car and eating breakfast with mom, Paul and I finally embarked on our epic road trip. Since all of the directions for this leg of the trip were stay on I-90 for 300 miles then bare left and stay on I-90 for 300 miles it was a pretty easy drive. Paul drove at first because I had slept cumulative 3 hours the night before. I actually fell asleep in the car. I thoroughly enjoy sleeping in cars. The weather was lovely and I passed out under my fleecy True Blood blanket for a few hours.

We stopped at some random service plaza in New York where Paul ran into a friend of his from Umass. Obviously because the world is actually the size of a pea.

The drive was uneventful though beautiful. We saw cows!

Buffalo is…from what I can tell…exactly like 114 or the Midwest. Our motel, our $45 motel, is…clean..ish. Its great for 45 dollars but its defiantly a 45 dollar motel.

Paul and I ended up going to see Kung Fu Panda 2 which was amazing! We are getting up in the morning to go to Niagara Falls then heading to Chicago. I’m very excited for the drive because I just downloaded Bossypants by Tina Fey, 5 hours of comedy bliss. I’m going to try and write every day though it may be boring (like today).

I’m hoping this trip will be fun, beautiful, relaxing and enlightening. But I’ll settle for safe and silly. I’m also making a concerted effort to take pictures. I hate myself in pictures but I’ll try and set that aside occasionally, but the pictures will mostly be of Paul and pretty scenery.
