I don't expect many people to understand my particular crush, but here it is: I love Steve Buscemi. I think he is incredibly sexy and an amazing actor.
I think my crush started when I first saw The Big Lebowsky. Donny was my favorite. However, Ghost World is what really did it for me. Seymour was so sweet and mildly creepy, he sent my heart a flutter.
But it is not simply the characters he plays that I find attractive, it is Buscemi himself. It is a little known fact that he was a New York City fire man from 1980-1984. The day after September 11, 2001, Steve Buscemi joined many other heroes’ to help search for survivors. He worked diligently for a week, putting in twelve hour days. He also did this completely anonymously; he just suited up and went to work.
So, while he may be thought of as "kinda funny-lookin'" in a "general kinda way" I find him very sexy.
I tried explaining to one of my sisters and my mother that I would rather have him play Dom Cobb in Inception than Leonardo DiCan'tActprio.
